This sweet and simple decoration makes a great 'little extra' for a special friend or family member.
From East of India designs, this oval-shaped decoration is made from smooth white ceramic and features one grey side. A pretty perching bird illustration is etched onto the grey side of the ceramic in a sgraffito style, surrounded by smaller bird shapes. Sgraffito, meaning 'scratch' in Italian, is a pottery decorating technique of applying layers of colour to pottery before scratching off parts of the layers to create pattern and texture. With glazing to the other side of the decoration, a sentimental 'thank you for being the reason I smile' quote is stamped beneath.
A loop of natural twine is threaded through a small hole in the top of the decoration, meaning the decoration can be hung from anywhere, with both or either side visible.
