Renewing Our Commitment to Pride: Continuing Our Partnership with The LGBTQ+ Project for 2024

We are happy to announce that our partnership with The LGBTQ+ Project has been renewed for a second year. This collaboration shows our support for the LGBTQIA+ community while creating an inclusive environment to ensure positive well-being.

The LGBTQ+ Project is an LGBTQ+ wellbeing charity dedicated to providing essential support and services tailored to the needs of the community. Their services include one-to-one support, LGBTQ+ drop-in groups for all ages, and their Educating with Pride programme, which works in partnership with educational institutions. They also provide awareness training courses to organisations, aiming to ensure understanding and acceptance of LGBTQ+ issues in the workplace.

Day-to-day operations at The LGBTQ+ Project are varied and dynamic, with team members providing appointments, answering emails, organising training sessions, and working with schools. In 2023, the charity provided 733 individuals with much-needed individual support. Families and carers of the members of the community also benefit from the services as the charity takes a holistic approach to community well-being.

Our donations will help cover the cost of volunteer inductions, such as their DBS checks and support the youth groups. 

The long-term goal of the Norfolk LGBT+ Project is to expand their team, allowing them to provide even more comprehensive support. Despite being a small team, their passion is immense, and they are driven by a personal commitment to giving back to the LGBTQ+ community. For many team members their work is deeply personal, inspired by the lack of support services available to them in the past as many of the volunteers are members of the LGBTQ+ community themselves. However, the charity welcomes anyone with an understanding of LGBTQ+ issues and a desire to make a difference.

The work the charity does is extremely rewarding, despite the challenges. The positive impact they have on the community serves as a constant reminder of the importance of their mission.

Every purchase from our Pride Capsule Collection will contribute 20% of the price of the product directly to The LGBTQ+ Project, ensuring that our support continues beyond Pride Month. This ongoing contribution helps the charity to maintain and expand the crucial services they provide in order to create a safe space for LGBTQIA+ individuals in need throughout the year.
