Hello Southwold: Our Third Store Opens in Beautiful Suffolk Seaside Town

Amidst the independents and eateries of stunning Southwold's high street, our brand new store opened its doors on Friday 12th July to welcome the wonderful community of Southwold.

Our first store away from our home city, Southwold has been a dream location for Lisa Angel since the brand began. Our founder Lisa has been visiting the Suffolk seaside town since 2004 and has held it close to her heart ever since, referring to it as her and her family's ‘magical seaside town’. “We visit at every opportunity,” she says, “and I've realised since starting this project and talking to many people that we're not the only ones who feel this way. It's no secret that it's a very special place indeed".

Our new store offers the same beautiful accessories, homeware and gifts that have established a loyal following ever since the brand began back in 2004, but this time in a new, exciting space. In the same year that we celebrate our 20th anniversary, we are thrilled to be able to further our presence on the British high street, and feel overwhelmed with pride for how much the brand has grown since its origin.  Lisa Angel began when our founder Lisa set about hand-crafting jewellery from her home in Norfolk, with the desire to spread her creations far and wide. She sold her wares at local craft fairs before being offered a table in the centre of Chantry Place shopping centre in Norwich. The popularity for her gorgeous jewellery creations grew exponentially and soon she was offered a permanent spot in the centre. Fast-forward a few years, and in 2011 and 2018 respectively, our beloved Lower Goat Lane and Chantry Place stores opened their doors, with more room to properly display every pretty piece and a larger space for customers to browse to their heart's content. 

Since then, even more has changed, and the love for Lisa Angel just keeps growing. The new store is an exciting opportunity to expand the brand's physical presence outside of cosy Norfolk, and what better place to do that than one of the many gorgeous seaside towns our neighbouring county has to offer? Our Managing Director James Moody emphasised the importance of expanding our bricks-and-mortar footprint, particularly at a time when the UK high street is undergoing a significant transformation, with many larger brands closing their physical locations. “Opening our third high street store is a significant milestone for Lisa Angel,” James has said, “this expansion reflects a broader trend where independent retailers are breathing new life into the high street, filling the gaps left by larger chains and creating vibrant, local shopping experiences”.
