Hello Bury: Our Fourth Store Opens in Brilliant Bury St Edmunds

Nestled between a variety of historic timber, brick, and stone buildings in the beating heart of Bury St Edmunds' high street, sits our brand new store! 

On Saturday 2nd November, the doors to our new store on Abbeygate street opened to welcome the wonderful community of Bury into our treasure trove of jewellery and giftware. Our second store away from our home city in the neighbouring county of Suffolk, this delightful new store is yet another proud achievement for the brand since our origin over twenty years ago. 

Our founder and Creative Director, Lisa, is thrilled to be opening a second store in Suffolk, after the successful opening of our third store in the nearby seaside town of Southwold in the summer. She explained the significance of becoming a part of Bury's bustling high street, particularly in a time when the landscape of the British high street is rapidly changing. ‘We’re so excited to be popping up in yet another wonderful Suffolk town. Suffolk is a county I regularly visit and I adore it as much as my home county of Norfolk, so to be embracing another high street in this gorgeous county is a milestone moment. Bury St Edmunds is an exciting, vibrant town with an eclectic mix of modern and traditional businesses and buildings, so we're delighted to become a part of that community.' 

After celebrating the brand's twentieth anniversary just months ago, this year has proven to be one to remember, and Lisa doesn't shy away from admitting just how proud she is of all the brand has achieved. ‘To be opening our fourth store and the second one in the same year feels enormous, especially during a time when the UK high street is significantly changing, with larger chains closing their doors and leaving space for smaller, independent brands to take over. Each new store we’ve opened has been huge, and makes me feel so proud of the wonderful team behind the brand.'

Lisa Angel began when our founder Lisa set about hand-crafting jewellery from her home in Norfolk, with the desire to spread her creations far and wide. She sold her wares at local craft fairs before being offered a table in the centre of Chantry Place shopping centre in Norwich. The popularity for her gorgeous jewellery creations grew exponentially and soon she was offered a permanent spot in the centre. Fast-forward a few years, and in 2011 and 2018 respectively, our beloved Lower Goat Lane and Chantry Place stores opened their doors, with more room to properly display every pretty piece and a larger space for customers to browse to their heart's content. 

Our new store offers the same array of accessories, homeware and gifts that have established a loyal following ever since the brand began back in 2004, but this time in an exciting new space.
